Three Rivers District council launch with Blaze
Shiny new mobile-first, responsive website launched for Three Rivers District Council on the Blaze platform
Byte9 have augmented their long term relationship with Three Rivers District council and delivered today a mobile first, responsive overhaul of the district council website.
After an extensive design, user interface development and user testing exercise Byte9 deployed the latest version of the Blaze platform to support all outward facing web activity.
With a focus on ease of navigation between information, service support and online services the new website is intended to help website users to help themselves and to optimise contact with the council, improving service and reducing the cost to serve residents.
Further iterations discussed include a focus on seamless API integrations with online services and tight integration council Customer Relationship Management (CRM) functions, bringing the council closer to the strategic vision of capitalising on opportunities for improved information & service delivery online.
Following an ongoing, agile approach to the delivery of council services at Three Rivers will continue to affirm the Institute for Government conclusions that the approach delivers projects more cheaply, rapidly and with increasing quality. As the 2011 Institute for Government report "System Error: fixing the flaws in government IT” on government IT concludes “...We recommend that government adopts a much more agile approach to IT for one simple reason: it works” (See also - Guardian - Government should extend agile development for IT).
We look forward to working closely with Three Rivers District Council to extend their online service provision and facilitating further process efficiency in the future.
