Linewatch Infringements Database Launch

Linewatch’s aim is to prevent accidents caused by infringements on pipeline routes in the UK. The infringements database stores details of any potential incidents and reports on them using trends and segmentation charts.

Linewatch is a joint initiative between BPA, Centrica Energy, ConocoPhillips, E-ON, Essar, Esso Petroleum Co Ltd, Government Pipelines and Storage System, IGas, INEOS, Mainline Pipelines Ltd, Manchester Jetline Ltd, Marchwood, National Grid, Sabic, Total, and Wingas.

Between them, the 16 participants account for some 14,000 km of buried oil/gas pipelines in England, Wales and Scotland.
